Open Class Culinary Arts, Creative Hobbies, and Horticulture
The Open Class Culinary Arts, Creative Hobbies
ENTRY DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JULY 15!
Horticulture entry deadline is also July 15, 2022. We've made some changes from the years in the past in both the competition categories, and how the entries will be judged. The "Danish System" of judging will now be utilized at the Washington County Fair. Under this system an entry is judged based upon established criteria of quality for each type of product and each exhibit is judged according to how well it meets the criteria rather than how well it compares with the other exhibits that were entered. The Danish System of judging does not compare one person's work to that of another. Be sure to thoroughly read the 2022 Open Class Handbook for Culinary Arts, Creative Hobbies, and Horticulture (posted in the link on the right) before entering.
