Out at the Fair

What started out as the "Unofficial Gay Day at the Fair" only at the San Diego County Fair in 2013, has now grown to be a family-friendly celebration of the LGBTQ+ community officially known as "Out at the Fair." Since that start back in 2013, "Out at the Fair" has gained the support of local LGBTQ+ community organizations as well as the Fair Industry. The Western Fairs Association, a leading trade organization for the Fair Industry, presented "Out at the Fair" with its prestigious Barham Award in 2018, an award that recognizes innovation, quality, and leadership in the field of service.

Out at the Fair took participated in 9 Fairs in 4 states in 2022, including our Washington County Fair, bringing a message of diversity and inclusiveness and Out at the Fair will be back with us again this year on July 22.
