Big Fair Food ON A BUDGET!

You can eat at the Fair without breaking the bank!

We know we have some CRAZY creations our food vendors offer up, and they can be big giant offerings that come with a big price. But we know we have some more economical options, too! Here are some cost-saving food options while you're having BIG FAIR FUN!:
  • First off, if you have youngsters with you at the Fair, the Golden Grill has a special Kids Meal offer that you won't want to miss---Noodles and Chicken, or Rice and Chicken, WITH a 12 oz. Lemonade or Sweet Tea for just $6.00. Then next door at the Dog House, their Kids Meal is a Corn Dog or Mac N' Cheese PLUS Fries AND a 12 oz. Lemonade, Ice Tea, or Slush Puppy, for only $6.00!
  • Corn Dogs--There are lots of places where you can buy them at our Fair, ranging in price from $4.50 to $5.00.
  • Not to be left out, the Hot Dogs also hold their own in being an economical choice while at the Fair at $3.00 to $5.75.
  • Sausage-On-A-Stick, $5.00
  • Fries? We've got 'em, whether you like them Curly, Criss-Cross Cut, or traditional, you can find them from $4 to $5 and remember: Some give you a serving that's big enough to share!
  • Nachos--There are a couple of vendors who sell a simple plate of Nachos ranging in price from $4.00 to $5.00. Sure, there are loaded ones for more than that, but you can find a simple basic plate of Nachos for 4 to 5 bucks!
  • Roasted Corn on the Cob from Kornman is just $5.00.
  • The Golden Grill has a Chicken Kabob for only $5.00 or Pot Sticker for $4.00.
  • How about Seafood Ceviche at the Fair? Yes, it's here and it's only $5.00 at Maguey Grill.
  • Himalayan Dumplings has Sha-Bhaleb for only $5.00.
  • You can find Deep-Fried Pickles for only $4.00, Flamin' Hot Cheetos with Cheese for $4.00, and Deep-Fried Cheese for $5.00.
  • Los 2 Compadres is a new food vendor with us this year and will have Tacos for only $2.50 each.
  • The "Gimme Some Sugar" booth has a Giant Soft Pretzel WITH Cheese for only $4, or sliced apples with caramel dip for only $4. That's also where you can try 3 Deep-Fried Oreos for only $5.00.
  • Cotton Candy--It's a Fair tradition for many people to enjoy a Cotton Candy treat, and you can find it at multiple booths ranging in price from $2.00 to $5.00.
  • If you want a treat in the category of Hawaiian Shave Ice, Sno-Cones, anything like that, you can find them in many locations ranging in price from $2.00 to $5.00
  • Lemonade, Slushies, Smoothies, Tea, any refreshing drink like that can be found at many booths, and we've checked for economical prices with our vendors and they come in anywhere from $3.00 on up to $5.00 depending on the size you get, and several offer a $1.00 refill after you buy your first Lemonade Drink.
  • When it comes to Ice Cream, if you're on a budget, we have lots of options for you: The Washington County Dairy Women's Booth sells a Baby Cone for kids ages 4 and under for only $1.00, a Small Cone is $2.00, a Regular cone is $3.00, a Waffle Cone (and it holds a LOT of ice cream,) is only $4.00, Vanilla and Chocolate Shakes are $4.00 and all other flavors are $4.50, Sundaes are $4.00, a Bagel with Cream Cheese is only $2.00, a "Chug" of Milk, regular or flavored is $2.00, and you can get a cup of hot coffee, tea, or cocoa for $1.50.
  • Ice Cream Nut Dip-$5.00 at Padre's.
  • BJ's Ice Cream has a Junior Scoop for only $3.50, an Old-Fashioned Soda is $4.00. Their Single Scoop of Ice Cream is $5.00, their Sundae is $5.00, and their Large Float is $5.00.
